Between a Rock and a Hard Place | When Every Option Feels Wrong

Between a Rock and a Hard Place | When Every Option Feels Wrong

I keep finding myself in these moments where all the options feel… wrong.

Technically, there are choices.
But none of them feel truly good.
Or right.
Or nourishing.

Every path feels like a loss in some way.
Like no matter which direction I move, I’m giving up something that matters.

And I know—that’s usually the moment to pause.
To breathe.
To think outside the box.
And if the answer isn’t clear… wait.

But waiting isn’t peace either.

Because while I’m sitting still, I’m suffering.
Grieving what’s happening now.
Gripping what might happen later.

And I’m tired of it.

I don’t want to keep waiting for the “right answer” to appear like magic.
I want my life back.
I want to feel like I’m the one steering this thing.

Letting Go Isn’t Always Spiritual — Sometimes It’s Survival

“Let go and trust the universe” sounds poetic
until you’re the one clinging for dear life.

How do you surrender to divine timing and find happiness in the now?
How do you soften when everything inside you feels like it’s breaking open?

And yes — maybe I’m a little extra emotional right now
(shoutout to the monthly blessing we all know too well).
But that doesn’t invalidate the ache.
I still feel it.

What do you do when escape isn’t possible?
When the only way out requires sacrificing a part of yourself?
If pain is already here, why choose more pain?

But staying — is that actually safer?
Or just more familiar?

I’ve tried running before.
From jobs, relationships, versions of myself that didn’t fit.
But somehow, I always circled back to what felt comfortable.

Back into the cycle.
Back into the stuck.

It’s Time for Another Shift

And I know — I’ve already made so many changes.
I’m tired just thinking about starting another one.

But I didn’t begin this journey to stay in survival mode.
I started because I wanted to build a life I didn’t want to escape from —
a life I couldn’t wait to wake up to.

And while I can finally see the horizon…
I’m not quite standing in it yet.

🖤 My Self-Reflection Ritual (Feel Free to Mirror This Exercise)

These are the exact questions I asked myself and the real answers that came up.
If you’re in a similar season, use this as your template.
Write your own. Get clear. Get grounded. Be honest.

What’s Causing This Sorrow?
  • Relationships that feel misaligned
  • My personal health—body + mind
  • Platonic connections that don’t pour back
  • “Potential” romances built on projections
What Needs to Shift?
  • More conscious commitment to myself
  • Stricter boundaries—being okay with letting people go
  • Stop falling for “potential.” Delulu doesn’t serve you-you.
How Would Change Feel?
  • Encouraging. Like forward motion.
  • Like I’m finally building my soul-aligned circle.
  • Clear. Confident. Rooted.
What Will I Actually Do?
  • Small health reset: One less sugary drink/coffee daily. Start walking again.
  • Cut ties: If they don’t give effort, neither do I.
  • Slow the hell down: Let time do what pressure can’t.
  • Communicate clearly: Make real decisions.

Take what resonates. Mirror it in your own journal.
Your clarity begins the moment you tell yourself the truth.

I don’t really know what that means.
But it feels right. So I’m leaving it in.

And maybe that’s the point.

When you’re stuck between a rock and a hard place,
maybe the answer isn’t to choose the lesser pain.

It’s rewriting the landscape entirely.
It’s not about picking a door.
It’s about building a new one.
It’s not about making a decision —
it’s about making a shift.
