THE FINAL DROP OF 2025

Today’s note is less about me — and more about us.

I don’t know what the future holds, but I know I’m down to explore it.
I trust my ability to create.
Creation is a beautiful thing — to both create and embody.

The older I get, the more the little things matter.
Details are everything. Especially for those of us who tie meaning to moments.

THE JOURNEY

Two years ago, I set out to break free from all the “things” that kept me in cycles of depression.
I replaced them with projects, beliefs, and practices that spoke to who I felt I truly was — not who I was told I should be.

To build a life — a reality — filled with love and joy.

So much of my perspective has changed in such a short time.
I say “short” because even in the stillness, transformation was happening.

And through it all, one truth remains:
I talk too much and not enough at the same time.

But what I’ve always loved — what’s been constant — is clothes.
From morning to night, I could lose myself in fabrics, textures, and timeless silhouettes.

THE CREATION

Growing up humble meant every purchase had to pass the test:

  • quality = comfort
  • material = longevity
  • style = timelessness
  • item = versatility
  • color = all seasons

When I bought something, it had to be worth every penny.

My clothes last years, gurl. Clock it.

So when I decided to create GURL, the clothing extension of Gurl Coded, I knew my pieces had to meet the same standard:

  • quality → pure cotton
  • material → 92–100% cotton
  • style → minimalistic statement pieces
  • item → full outfit + accessory [coded]
  • color → neutral-cool undertones

THE SACRIFICE

The only item that isn’t 100% cotton is the tank — because, let’s be real, many of us don’t like wearing bras with tanks.

That 8% spandex? A necessary lift while we’re letting them hang ;D

Before finalizing the sweat shirt and sweat pant , I wore them for a week straight. Slept in them. Lived in them.

Because I’m so tired of sweats that break down, ball up, or betray us after two wears.

As a mid-sized gurly, I tested it through real life — movement, sleep, and, yes, chafing.
And I’m proud to say: it passed.

THE SYMBOLS

1. The Old English “GURL” — The Rebellion
The ancient meets the modern — a nod to roots, resistance, and fire. It’s our declaration: we write our own narrative.

2. The Pixel-Glitch Font — The Disruption
Distorted yet alive. The glitch marks the moment consciousness interrupts the system — awareness breaking illusion.

3. The Reversed Cream “GURL” on Sweatpants — The Resistance
Moving against the current. Walking your own path. Comfort as rebellion.

4. The Emblem Tee — The Becoming
Centered, confident, unhidden. Taking up space after shrinking for too long. Simplicity as power.

5. The Distressed Hoodie — The Memory
Every fade, every tear, a mark of resilience. Our scars aren’t flaws — they’re stories woven into fabric.
